Accessibility Statement
Accessibility matters here.
Unruly Spaces and The Unruly Woman exist to support neurodivergent, disabled, and otherwise unconventional folks. Accessibility isn’t an add-on — it’s part of how this work is designed.
Our commitment to accessibility
The Unruly Woman is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards as part of an ongoing process.
Accessibility is an evolving practice. I’m learning, listening, and adjusting as this work grows.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. These guidelines outline three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
I aim to make all pages and content on https://www.theunrulywoman.com accessible. However, some content may not yet fully meet the highest accessibility standards. This may be due to limitations of available technology, third-party tools, or the realities of running a small, independently operated business.
I review and revise this statement periodically as accessibility improvements are made.
What I currently offer
I aim to make my offerings as accessible as possible within the scope of my work. Current accessibility practices include:
-
Neurodivergent-affirming, plain-language communication
-
Flexible participation options (camera optional, chat participation welcome)
-
Live captions enabled for workshops and sessions when available
-
Recorded sessions when possible, with replay access
-
Clear expectations shared in advance
-
Respect for different processing speeds, communication styles, and energy levels
-
Space to name access needs without justification
About access needs
If you have access needs that aren’t listed here, you’re welcome to reach out. I can’t promise that I can meet every request, but I can promise thoughtful consideration and honest communication.
If something about this space doesn’t work for you, I want to know — not so you can “push through,” but so we can do better.
Feedback and contact
I welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website and my offerings. If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact me:
Email: christy@theunrulywoman.com
I aim to respond within 3–5 business days.
Ongoing commitment
Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a finished task. I remain committed to learning, seeking feedback, and making improvements over time.
